• An investment for children age 16 and under
  • $50 minimum investment

Many ELCA congregations purchase MIF4KIDZ investments for children at their Baptisms. Congregations have found this investment to be an effective way to invest in the future of young people and, at the same time, help advance the mission and ministry of the church.

An MIF4KIDZ investment functions like a savings account specifically designed for children age 16 and younger. This investment is a a great way to set aside money for college or other needs and teach children good stewardship and money management while connecting them to the life of the church.

Once the congregation purchases the investment, a custodian—usually a child's parent or guardian—is responsible for the investment. The investment matures on a childs 18th birthday.

The minimum initial deposit is $50. Additional contributions of at least $25 may be made at any time. Interest is added to the principal quarterly.

At Baptism, a child enters into Christian faith and begins life in the church.  How symbolic to present every child with an investment that works to build the church—and an investment that will link the child even closer to the church during the formative years.

Has your congregation decided to provide an MIF4KIDZ investment for each child baptized at your font?  Consider this thoughtful Baptismal gift to help build the church.

-  MIF investments are not available in Kentucky.
-  The State of Washington has adopted a regulatory interpretation which currently prevents MIF from offering and selling its investments to those residents of Washington who are not already holders of MIF's Investments.
